Scholarships at Lakehouse Music Academy

Learning in a band teaches important life skills.

Our premier music education provides kids with the opportunity for one-on-one lessons combined with learning to play in a band. Kids receiving scholarships to the Core program at Lakehouse Music Academy build friendships with kids from diverse backgrounds without concern for racial or economic differences. United through music, kids establish life-long relationships and learn interpersonal skills by working together within a band.

Lakehouse instructors take a holistic approach to teaching, emphasizing the need to arrive on time, respect one another and collaborate creatively. In addition to their music education, students learn to promote their bands to establish broad skills they can use in college or future jobs.

This program is part of the Music Saved My Life youth music education initiative, which is a partnership between the Asbury Park Music Foundation and Lakehouse Music Academy.
