Join us in our second decade of providing life-changing music education programs to under-resourced youth in Monmouth County! Our youth programs are supported by donors as well as our secondary missions, hosting live music events that unite the diverse members of our community while also supporting local musicians with paying gigs and exposure on our stages.

Our 3 free summer concert series bring communities together through the power of music while raising funds through sponsorships and donations!

  • Music Mondays in Springwood Park on Asbury Park’s west side celebrates the diversity of the city by bringing music from the past and present together to showcase what Asbury has to offer. Attendees gather on Monday nights to reconnect with neighbors and friends and enjoy shows
featuring local artists and touring bands.
  • Asbury Park Live! at the 1st Avenue Green on the AP Boardwalk is a 10-week series on
Wednesday nights next to the MOGO Korean Fusion Tacos stand. Lakehouse Music Academy
bands featuring APMF scholarship students open for local musicians/bands each week. BYO
lawn chair, your friends, and your dancing shoes!
  • The Asbury Park Concert Band has been entertaining crowds of all ages since 1945. Shows
featuring weekly themes from patriotic marches to jazz to Broadway tunes take place every
Thursday night at 7pm in July and August. These family-friendly shows are held at the Arthur
Pryor Bandshell at the 5th Avenue Pavilion on the Asbury Park Boardwalk (entrance on Ocean
Avenue) overlooking the boardwalk and the ocean.

Contact us for sponsorship information for any/all of these music series.

Do you know what APMF does in the community?

Here’s a little bit about us…

We thought we’d throw back to life before the pandemic and show you… see if you recognize some local faces!

Thank you Glen Burtnik for sharing your great song “Where Music Lives” about our city by the sea we all love and includes a chorus of kids
from Asbury Park High School
“I want to live this life with true emotion
Someplace where the music plays
I want to spend my days down by the ocean
Where music lives & children play”
