FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Asbury Park, NJ  Asbury Park Music Foundation (APMF) announced today that the 3rd Annual  “A Very Asbury Holiday Show” will take place at the Stone Pony on December 9, 2021 at 7PM.  Tickets are on sale online now for $27 and will also be available at the Stone Pony box office and the APMF table at the Asbury Fresh market  on Saturdays at Kennedy Park. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $32 on the night of the show. Proceeds benefit APMF and it’s mission directly.
Previous year’s sellout shows raised thousands of dollars for APMF’s youth music programs, scholarships, and live music initiatives. In addition, the show will again be a drop off location for unwrapped gifts for local families in need. “It’s my privilege to support the Asbury Park Music Foundation, which uses music as the foundation for the future success of under-resourced youth,” says headliner Pat Roddy.  “It’s an honor to be a part of this tradition.” Layonne Holmes, Eddie Testa and other musicians and friends of Roddy will also be on the bill.
APMF’s free Music Mondays summer concerts in Springwood Park, the Cookman Avenue Live series in the downtown business district, and AP Concert Band shows in Bradley Park are some of Asbury Park’s most popular and well-attended events, uniting the community and attracting visitors and residents from all over to town. They also invest in the future by offering life-changing music programs that provide under-served youth with confidence, discipline, and relationships that improve their future success and economic mobility. As always, this show is made possible by the extraordinary generosity of sponsors and musicians alike who are dedicated to the betterment of their community through the power of music. APMF and all of the beneficiaries wish to thank Barry Pollack/Larson Ford, Zager FuchsThe Coaster, MOGO Korean Fusion,  Premselaar Foundation, Rockrete Recycling Corporation and Asbury Park Press  for their commitment to the city Asbury Park. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Jeri@asburyparkmusiclives.org before November 22nd.

In 2018, the Asbury Park Music Foundation brought a holiday show back to the city after a two-decade absence. The sold-out, inaugural concert at the Paramount Theater brought together over 60 musicians from every generation and showcased powerhouse performances by Bobby Bandiera, Kings of Suburbia, Remember Jones, Lance Larson, The Weeklings, Danny Clinch and Tangiers Blues Band, Williams Honor, Anthony Krizan, Layonne Holmes, Billy Hector, Brian Kirk, Emily Grove, Lorenza Ponce, Carl Gentry, Vanilla Fudge, Jillian Rhys McCoy, JT Bowen, Eddie Testa, Pat Roddy and an all-star band led by musical director, Tony Perruso with emcees, Lee Mrowicki, Eyewitness News Anchor, Michelle Charlesworth and
Michelle Amabile Angemiller.

The concert has become a tradition that the city and the locals look forward to kickoff the holiday season.  Most important, these concerts have raised significant funds for the music foundation’s youth music programs, scholarships and initiatives as well as raising money for Boys and Girls Clubs of Monmouth County, Jewish Family & Children’s Services, Asbury Park Toy Drive and Mercy Centerorganizations that provide much-needed assistance to families in our area.

This show is made possible by the extraordinary generosity of our sponsors and all the incredible musicians who believe in supporting their community through the power of music. We are honored to know them and thank them for their time and commitment to making it better for everyone in Asbury Park.
