Upcoming EventsBringing the Community Together with Music
Our live music events support our mission through fundraising for youth music education, uniting our community and providing local musicians with an opportunity for paid performances. Join us for our special fundraiser events or join us at our free summer concerts to meet others in our community.
For a complete list of events, check out our Event Calendar.
Live at the Music Foundation
Shows running at our space on 621 Lake Avenue, Unit 1-C are listed on our calendar. These are run independent of APMF by promoters or the bands themselves. These are all age, no alcohol shows that let local and touring artists connect with their audience.
Special Donor Events
We run unique, intimate events to educate interested individuals about the Foundation while, of course, featuring live music and great people. Please contact us at info@AsburyParkMusicLives.org if you are considering becoming a donor and would like to be invited to one of these events (some of which are not announced to the public).
Summer Concert Series
We have something for everyone with our three free concert series that run throughout the summer with Music Mondays at Springwood Park (diverse music on Mondays), Asbury Park LIVE (emerging artists on Wednesdays) and Asbury Park Concert Band (big band music on Thursdays). Additional details are in the sections below.
Music Mondays in Springwood Park will run in 2018 from June 25 through August 27 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. The series features diverse musical styles with a broad appeal to all of the Asbury Park community. Springwood Park is located on Asbury Park’s west side, about 3 blocks from the train station. APMF booking starts in January and runs through March. Musicians can submit sample music and links to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks to our 2017 sponsors who not only funded the event series but also raised $5,000 to upgrade equipment for the Hip Hop Institute at the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth.
The Asbury Park Concert Band performs every Thursday evening at 7:00PM next to McLoone’s on the boardwalk, making this its 73rd season in the summer of 2018. The band offers a varied musical selection from marches, classical, jazz, dixieland, opera, and big band to Broadway. Several concerts each year feature students from Monmouth County schools who perform along with the professional musicians. These popular shows provide students from middle to high school age a chance to fine tune their skills and experience performing in a professional setting. Donations to support this program are appreciated.
Thanks to our 2017 sponsors:
Free music Wednesday nights in Asbury Park right next to MOGO and Watermark on the Boardwalk will continue in the summer of 2018. This series features emerging artists. Booking begins in February 2018 and a schedule will be announced in May.
Thanks to our 2017 sponsors.
